  • 29-30 October 2019OECD Forum on Green Finance and Investment, Paris, France
    This sixth edition of the forum will convene leading actors across the green finance community to help catalyse and support the transition to a green, low-emissions and climate-resilient global economy. Details and logistics will be communicated in the coming months. In the meantime, you are invited to save the date and consult the Centre’s website, which provides the latest publications and insights on green finance and investment topics.

  • 28 October 2019: Research Collaborative workshop, Paris, France
    This workshop will focus on initiatives to track finance and investments towards assessing their consistency with climate objectives and will gather experts from research organisations, financial institutions and governments with the aim to provide institutional, country and international level perspectives on this topic. Do not hesitate to contact us to signal your interest in attending, as well as to bring relevant work to our attention.

  • 21-22 March 2019: 2° Investing Initiative (2°ii) workshop, Bern, Switzerland
    OECD participation in a 2° Investing Initiative (2°ii) workshop, hosted by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment. This workshop, designed for both environmental and financial policymakers, was designed to coordinate and share learnings on national initiatives around monitoring Art. 2.1c and climate transition risks in financial markets, including a discussion of technical tools and modelling approaches.

  • 15 March 2019: Workshop on Tracking of Climate Investments, Berlin, Germany
    The Institute for Climate Economics, New Climate Institute, Wise Europa, IKEM, Czech Technical University in Prague and Riga Technical University convened this workshop with experts from governments, academia, think-tanks and public banks to lay the foundations for a European network to accelerate the tracking of climate investments. The Research Collaborative presented its on-going work on tracking investments and financing in the context of Article 2.1c of the Paris Agreement.

Past events

  • 2-15 December 2018: UNFCCC COP24Katowice, Poland 
    Research Collaborative staff attended COP24. The rulebook of the Paris Agreement that was agreed in Katowice includes text and guidelines on how to report private finance mobilised by public interventions. The elements of these guidelines largely build on research and methods developed by the OECD in this area since 2013.

  • 10 October 2018: Research Collaborative workshop, Paris France
    The workshop brought together over 60 representatives from research organisations, finance providers and governments. The objective was to share and discuss on-going work to track finance for climate action, at national and international levels, in both developed and developing countries. In addition to work aimed at further improving the tracking of climate finance, the workshop also featured initiatives to estimate investments and financing that undermine climate objectives.

  • 10 April 2018: Working session on methods to measure mobilised private finance, Paris, France
    The OECD DAC and the Research Collaborative jointly hosted a working session with bilateral and multilateral development finance institutions. The objective was to further discuss and develop approaches to measure private finance mobilised by official development finance.
